I got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was spacious and cozy, and I loved the view of the city from my balcony. The location was perfect, within walking distance of all the popular sights. The staff treated me like a VIP, always friendly and helpful.
The food for breakfast could have been better.

The hotel is conveniently located near Keage subway station, making it easy to access the central shopping district and popular tourist areas. The rooms are comfortable, with crisp linens and a choice of pillows. The bathroom has a strong shower with plenty of hot water. The staff provides impeccable service, from check-in to check-out, making the stay truly memorable. Breakfast is a mix of western and Japanese cuisine, served buffet style. The hotel is also within walking distance of attractions, providing a convenient base for exploring.
One of the dining options at the hotel received negative feedback for its bland and unexciting food, as well as poor presentation, which may be disappointing for some guests.

Wonderfully bright, clean property with large Wesern style rooms. Staff was typical of the Japanese style of service... polite and nicely attentive.
Restaurants close and open typical of Japanese hours which was not convenient for late arrivals. I could not find anything open in the area. I arrived at 10 PM. It would be nice if at least the hotel had some late dining options, not all of us are Japanese.

My xmas at this hotel was fantastic! The staff was so accommodating and gave us two complementary drinks when we arrived. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance to the market and a beautiful park. The room was also cozy and had a great view of the city skyline.
There were a few things that could have been better. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, and the gym was small and overcrowded.

This hotel is so good for relaxing and watching the green mountains surrounding the hotel. Restaurants are so good in hotel as well. Best thing is the free shuttle bus thats goes to more than one place in city including Kyoto Train station.

Free shuttle bus to and from Gion and the Kyoto station. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to subway station. Nice restaurants close by.
Having to pay to use the swimming pool - this should be free for hotel guests.

had a great weekend at a stunning Kyoto hotel. Westin exceeded expectations - amazing service, spacious rooms, and helpful staff. Loved the Moonlight bar and convenient shuttle. Highly recommend for temple hikes and easy access to Gion.

Location was great. Room clean. Great bedding. Good coffee.
Need wireless in the guest room, not just the lobby. Should not charge to use the fitness room or pool as prices are already high.

The Westin Miyako Hotel Tokyo has a grand history - and it was great to see the images of past famous guests and old photos of the hotel itself. The hotel is well located on the edge of town - quite near a few of the more interesting sites. We received an upgrade on arrival - so had quite a large bed. The hotel was very friendly and helpful when one of us fell ill.
The bar was open only for limited hours and had a steep cover charge for guests at peak evening times (due to a live band). Other options for chilling in the hotel itself - other than the restaurants and the foyer - were limited.
